XLSX & Excel Online Editor

Edit XLSX, XLS, CSV, and ODS spreadsheets directly in your browser. Change cell values, write formulas, insert or delete rows and columns, and download the result in the original format — no Excel or account needed.

Why edit Excel files with AnyDocFlow?

Click-to-Edit Cells

Click any cell and start typing. Numbers are detected automatically, Enter moves down, Tab moves across, and Esc reverts — just like a real spreadsheet.

Formula Support

Type a formula in any cell or the formula bar, for example =SUM(B2:B9). Formulas are saved as real formulas and recalculate when the file is opened in Excel or LibreOffice.

Insert & Delete Rows and Columns

Add or remove rows and columns at the selected cell with one click. Merged cells, row heights, and column widths are adjusted automatically.

Multi-Sheet Editing

Edit every sheet in your workbook. Switch between sheets with the tabs above the grid and edit each one independently before saving.

Save Back to Original Format

Download your edited file in the same format you opened: XLSX stays XLSX, XLS stays XLS, CSV stays CSV, and ODS is converted back to ODS.

100% Private & Browser-Based

Your spreadsheet never leaves your device. Everything is processed locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded to any server.

About the Online Excel Editor

AnyDocFlow's spreadsheet editor brings the essential Excel editing experience to your browser. Open an XLSX, XLS, CSV, or ODS file, click into any cell to change its value, use the formula bar for formulas like =SUM(A1:A10), and add or remove rows and columns from the toolbar. Every change stays local — the file is only read and written on your own device, so your data never leaves your computer. When you are done, one click downloads the edited spreadsheet in its original format, ready to open in Excel, LibreOffice, Google Sheets, or Numbers. It is the fastest way to fix a typo, update a number, or recalculate a total without installing anything.

How to edit an Excel file online

Three simple steps to edit a spreadsheet without Excel:

1

Open your spreadsheet

Drag and drop an XLSX, XLS, CSV, TSV, or ODS file onto the dropzone, or click it to choose a file. Prefer a fresh sheet? Click the button to start from a blank workbook.

2

Make your edits

Click a cell and type to change its value. Enter a formula such as =SUM(B2:B9) in the cell or the formula bar. Use the toolbar buttons to insert or delete the row and column at the selected cell, and the tabs to switch sheets.

3

Save your file

Click Save to download the edited spreadsheet in its original format. If you change your mind, Reset restores the file to the state it was in when you opened it.

Things to know

Files are processed entirely in your browser — never uploaded. Edits are saved back in the file's original format (XLSX, XLS, CSV, or ODS). Formulas you type are stored as real formulas and recalculate when the file is opened in Excel; this browser editor shows them as text and does not compute their results. Merged cells, number formats, row heights, and column widths are preserved, but advanced styling such as colors, borders, charts, and images is not carried over when saving. Very large sheets are shown in pages of 100 rows (up to 10,000 rows and 100 columns per sheet) — the full data is still saved. For sheets with more than 10,000 rows or 100 columns, only the visible area can be edited.
