About This PDF Attachment Tool
Our Add Attachments tool embeds files of any type into your PDF document using CoherentPDF, a professional PDF library compiled to WebAssembly. Choose between two attachment levels: Document level attaches the files to the whole PDF (they appear in the file attachments panel of any PDF reader), while Page level attaches the files to specific pages you specify with range syntax like 1-3, 5. Multiple files can be added at once, and each attachment is embedded with its original filename. Attachments can be viewed and extracted by any PDF reader that supports embedded files, such as Adobe Acrobat, Preview, and Chrome. All processing stays local in your browser — no data is ever uploaded.
How to Add Attachments to PDF — Step by Step
Adding attachments to a PDF with our tool is simple:
Upload Your PDF
Drag and drop the PDF file you want to attach files to, or click to browse.
Add Attachment Files
Upload one or more files of any type to attach. Review them in the attachments list and remove any you don't need.
Configure Options
Choose Document level for the whole PDF, or Page level and enter the specific page numbers or ranges to attach to.

Important Notes
Attachments are embedded into the PDF using CoherentPDF and can be viewed in any PDF reader that supports embedded files. Document-level attachments appear in the file attachments panel. Page-level attachments are associated with the specified pages. Attachments increase the PDF file size by roughly the size of the attached files. Encrypted PDFs or PDFs with structural issues cannot be processed.
