Put a custom text or image watermark on every page of a Word document right in your browser. Choose the wording, color, size, orientation, and opacity. No upload, no sign-up.
Add words like CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT, or any custom text as a watermark on every page.
Use your own logo or picture as a watermark, automatically lightened to sit behind the content.
Choose color, size, diagonal or horizontal orientation, and opacity to get exactly the look you want.
Watermarks are placed in the document headers, so they appear on every page, even after editing.
Add the same watermark to many .docx files at once and download each result individually or as a ZIP.
Everything runs in your browser — your documents never leave your device.
The Word watermark tool adds a text or image watermark to a .docx file without ever uploading it. For a text watermark you pick the wording, color, size, and whether it should run diagonally across the page; for an image watermark you upload a picture that is automatically downscaled and lightened so it reads clearly behind your content. Behind the scenes the watermark is placed into the document headers — the same mechanism Microsoft Word uses — so it appears on every page of every section, including the first page when the document has a separate first-page header. Because everything happens locally, your documents stay private and there is no file size limit beyond what your browser can handle. Need to remove a watermark instead? Use the dedicated Remove Watermark from Word tool.
Watermarking a document takes three simple steps:
Drag and drop or browse for the .docx file you want to watermark.
Pick text or image mode, then set the wording, color, size, orientation, and opacity.
Apply the watermark, then download each file individually or grab all of them as a ZIP archive.
Watermarks are written into the document headers the same way Microsoft Word does it, so they appear on every page and stay in place when you keep editing the file in Word, Google Docs, or LibreOffice. The image watermark is automatically lightened (its opacity controls how strong it looks) and resized to fit, so no extra image editing is needed. All processing is local: nothing is uploaded, and files of any size are supported.
