What is a drawing measure tool?
A drawing measure tool reads the geometry of a CAD file — lines, polylines, circles, arcs, blocks — and lets you take real measurements straight off the drawing, just like the MEASURE commands in AutoCAD. Instead of printing a plan and measuring it with a ruler, you open the digital drawing and click the points you care about: two points for a distance, a loop of corners for an area, three points for an angle. This tool reads both DWG drawings (through an in-browser WebAssembly converter) and DXF files, then renders every entity onto an interactive canvas. Pick a tool, click onto the drawing, and the distance, area, or angle is computed in the drawing's own units and drawn on top of the geometry. You can drag to pan and scroll to zoom, and the measurement stays attached to the drawing while you inspect it from any angle.

Drop your drawing

A note on drawing units
Measurements are returned in the drawing's native units — the numbers in a DWG or DXF file are already scaled, whether the drawing was authored in millimetres, inches, or metres. This tool reports those raw drawing units and does not apply a scale factor, so a floor plan drawn in millimetres reads in millimetres. For real-world values in different units, multiply by the drawing's known scale. Distance and area measurements are straight-line (Euclidean) between your clicks; for accurate area measurements, click the actual corners of the region you want to measure rather than points outside it.
