DXF Online Viewer

Open .dxf CAD drawings instantly in your browser. Pan, zoom and inspect lines, arcs, text, layers and blocks — private, free and no CAD software required.

View DXF files the easy way

Instant native parsing

DXF is plain text, so the viewer parses it directly in your browser — no conversion step, no waiting for a server and no software to install.

Pan & zoom controls

Drag to pan, scroll to zoom, or hit fit-to-view to frame the whole drawing. Inspect fine details or survey the full layout.

Renders real geometry

Lines, polylines, circles, arcs, ellipses, splines, text and blocks are drawn accurately from the original DXF data.

Layer & color aware

Entity colors, layer colors and true colors are respected, so the on-screen view matches the intent of the original drawing.

Private by design

Everything runs locally in your browser. Your DXF files are never uploaded to any server.

Batch friendly

Drop up to 10 DXF files at once — each one is parsed and rendered automatically, ready to inspect side by side.

About viewing DXF in the browser

DXF (Drawing Exchange Format) is Autodesk’s text-based interchange format for CAD drawings — the universal language that moves geometry between CAD programs, CNC software and engineering teams. Because it is plain text, no converter is needed to read it: this viewer parses the file directly in your browser and draws every entity — lines, arcs, polylines, ellipses, splines, text and nested blocks — onto a canvas you can pan and zoom freely. Block references (INSERT) are expanded in place, and layer colors are respected. Because parsing happens on your device, there is no upload, no queue and no server-side file size limit. Whether you’re checking a supplier drawing, reviewing a CNC program or just need a quick look without buying software, this is the fastest way to view a DXF online.

How to view a DXF file online

Three simple steps — no account, no software, no upload.

1

Drop your DXF

Drag one or more .dxf files onto the upload area, or click to browse. Each drawing opens automatically — no button needed.

2

Watch it render

The file is parsed locally in your browser and drawn instantly. Even large drawings open in a blink because there is no conversion step.

3

Inspect & navigate

Every file appears as a card below the dropzone. Drag to pan, scroll to zoom, or use the toolbar to fit the whole drawing in view.

A note on DXF rendering

DXF files written by any CAD program — from R12 through the latest releases — can be opened because the viewer reads the ASCII format directly. Some advanced entities (hatches, 3D solids, proxy objects and some dimension leaders) are intentionally not drawn, and a few files use features this viewer does not recognize; when a file contains no drawable geometry the tool says so honestly rather than showing a blank or wrong drawing. Everything runs locally — your files never leave your device.
