About This E-book Metadata Editor
E-book files carry metadata alongside their content: the title, authors, language, ISBN, publisher and publication date that readers and library apps display. This tool lets you correct that metadata without converting or re-formatting the book. For EPUB files the standard Dublin Core metadata is read from the OPF file and written back surgically; for MOBI-family files the EXTH metadata records are updated in place. The cover of an EPUB can be replaced directly. Because the whole job runs in your browser with a pure-JavaScript engine, your files are never uploaded and the result is a valid, standards-compliant e-book you can keep reading on any device.

Important Notes
DRM-protected (encrypted) e-books cannot be edited because their metadata is encrypted too. Plain PalmDOC / PRC files have no MOBI metadata header, so they are shown read-only. The EPUB rewrite rebuilds the archive with valid compression so the output stays standards-compliant, though very unusual EPUB structures may not round-trip perfectly. When you replace an EPUB cover, only the cover file is swapped — the rest of the book is untouched. All processing happens on your device.
