Our PDF to Word converter uses the pdf2docx engine, powered by PyMuPDF and running entirely in your browser via WebAssembly (Pyodide). Unlike simple text extraction tools, pdf2docx analyzes each PDF to convert text, images, tables, and layout elements into editable Word documents. The entire conversion happens locally in your browser — no data is ever uploaded. Multiple PDFs can be uploaded and converted in batch. Each completed DOCX appears in the results list for individual download, or you can download all converted files at once as a ZIP archive. Files are processed sequentially through the pdf2docx engine, preserving fonts, images, tables, and basic layout in the output.
Converting a PDF to an editable Word document with our tool is simple:
Drag and drop one or more PDF files onto the upload area, or click to browse and select multiple files from your device.
Click the Convert to Word button to start batch conversion. The pdf2docx engine processes each PDF sequentially, preserving text, images, tables, and layout in the output DOCX.
Each converted DOCX appears in the results list for individual download. Use the Download All button to package all files into a single ZIP archive.
This converter uses pdf2docx via Pyodide (Python compiled to WebAssembly) for high-quality PDF to DOCX conversion. The first time you use it, the Python engine (~50MB total) will be downloaded and cached by your browser — this may take 1-2 minutes on a typical connection. Subsequent conversions are much faster since the engine is cached. Multiple PDFs can be uploaded and converted in batch — each completed file appears in the results list for individual download, or download all as a ZIP. The converter preserves text, images, tables, and basic layout. Complex elements like advanced vector graphics, fillable form fields, or interactive elements may have limitations. Scanned PDFs (image-based) cannot be converted since they lack selectable text. All processing stays local to your device — your files never leave your browser.
