Convert PPT to Word Handouts

Turn PowerPoint presentations into editable Word documents — one page per slide with a slide thumbnail, all slide text, and speaker notes. Fast, free, and fully in your browser.

Everything You Need for PPT to Word Conversion

Editable slide text

Every slide's text is extracted as real, selectable Word text — not a flat image — so you can edit, cite, or repurpose your content.

Slide thumbnails included

Each handout page embeds a crisp snapshot of the slide so the visual layout is preserved alongside the editable text.

Speaker notes preserved

Notes from your PPTX or ODP slides are carried into the Word handout under a clear "Speaker notes:" heading.

100% private, in-browser

Conversion runs locally with WebAssembly — your presentation never leaves your device. Safe for confidential decks and internal reports.

Free & no sign-up

Convert as many presentations as you need. No accounts, no watermarks, no daily limits.

One-click Word download

Get a clean, well-structured .docx ready for Word, Google Docs, or LibreOffice — no Microsoft Office install required.

What Is PPT to Word Handout Conversion?

A presentation is built for the screen — a Word document is built for the page. AnyDocFlow's PPT to Word tool bridges the gap by generating a handout from your PowerPoint file: every slide becomes its own page with a thumbnail of the original slide, the slide's text as editable paragraphs, and any speaker notes you added. The result is ideal for lecture notes, meeting summaries, training materials, and turning slide content into written documentation you can edit, print, or share as a .docx.

How to Convert PPT to Word

Three quick steps to a Word handout from your presentation.

1

Add your presentation

Drag and drop one or more PPTX, PPT, or ODP files onto the upload area, or click to browse your device. All processing stays local.

2

Wait for the handout to build

The tool reads each slide's text and speaker notes, renders slide thumbnails, and assembles a formatted .docx. The first conversion loads the engine and can take 10–30 seconds.

3

Download your Word document

Download each handout individually, or download them all as a single ZIP archive. Open the .docx in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or LibreOffice and edit away.

Notes & Limitations

Speaker notes are read natively from .pptx and .odp files. Because the legacy binary .ppt format has no text-extraction path and the conversion engine drops notes, notes from .ppt files can't be recovered — the slides themselves convert normally. Slide thumbnails are rendered at 96 DPI, which looks crisp on a printed page and keeps the .docx small. Use /ppt-to-images if you need full-resolution images.
