About This PDF Splitter
Our PDF Splitter uses pdf-lib to divide PDF documents into multiple smaller files entirely in your browser. Three split modes are available: Page Range lets you specify custom ranges like 1-5, 8, 10-12; Every N Pages splits the document into chunks of your specified size; All Pages Individually extracts each page as its own PDF file. Upload a file, configure your split mode, and click Split PDF. The file stays uploaded so you can try different modes — results accumulate in the scrollable list. Each split part can be downloaded individually, or use Download All to package everything into a ZIP archive. The Clear button clears only the results list without removing the file. All processing stays local in your browser — no data is ever uploaded.
How to Split a PDF — Step by Step
Splitting a PDF with our tool is simple:
Upload Your PDF

Choose Split Mode

Important Notes
This tool splits PDFs using pdf-lib, which copies pages from the source document into new files. The file stays uploaded after splitting so you can try different modes — results accumulate in the scrollable list. Click Split PDF to start each split operation. The Clear button clears only the results list without removing the file. The Remove button clears only the file without affecting previous results. Encrypted PDFs cannot be processed — please decrypt them first. Split files are named with page ranges for easy reference.
